OUR STORY
Industrial designer David Clark began ModCraft in a Williamsburg, Brooklyn apartment, shaping early porcelain lighting and wall tile by hand. Demand moved production to a barn studio near Beacon, New York, where he and Mary St. John design, prototype, and fire work in larger batches while keeping each profile tooled in-house. ModCraft still uses high-fire porcelain, relief molds, and small-team glazing so light catches every plane. The finished wall reads as quiet from a distance and richly detailed up close.
